bad cat, suggestions?
Just got my car back from the shop, with three codes.
ecm-4801 ecm-4901 ecm-6806 I was told by the mechanic that the cats were bad on the vehicle, the car I have noticed does really bad on gas, 12mpg-14mpg. It has crappy acceleration and feels very slow, I have noticed that if i take it on the interstate and slam on the gas a few times that the car will feel faster, no idea what to do from here, the cats are about as much as i paid for the car. Since i don't have emissions in Idaho can I just take the honeycomb crap out and run it? I know it will still give me a check engine light but at least it will be better on gas. Thanks. I have replaced TCV twice, bought a new unit from VOLVO and new hoes. |
