First day on the forum I hope you are all well. I am trying to identify the Tranny on my 04 S80 naturally aspirated. I can't find anything on the net. I need to buy the solenoids and I got price from Volvo but am sure buying GM would be cheaper. Does anybody knows?? Thanks all...

The GM solenoids might be different. Keep that in mind.

hi everyone changed the pvc on my 97 850 non turbo couple days later it started smoking out the tail pipe seems bluish doesnt do it all the time but often any ideas do you think i did anything wrong 210,000 miles and runs great no leaks but going through oil like crazy any help would be appreciated am i in the right place for this i'm new here .

True I need to make sure...

I have noticed a number of posts from members across all the forums that have discovered their tranny type is mismatched to the VIN number.
My own vehicle's paperwork from Japan (imported) shows it as a 2002 yet the VIN id link and the chasis number clearly shows it as an approx' mid 2003 manufacture in Belgium.

I wonder if sometimes the new vehicle order export priorities from the factories get altered and the end country destinations also get changed in order to fit timeline restrictions yet the VIN's are not always 100% corrected to match the final as built spec's.
Especially as different versions normally go to each different worldwide market.
i.e. USA and Canada or Japan as 2 examples are each different
