Camshaft position sensor replaced.

I have a 2001 S80 2.8 T6. Car was idling and when I returned to it, it stopped running. I tried to restart it and it just cranked. I put a scanner to it and came up with a P0343 code which said "camshaft position sensor". Replaced it ($225.00). Still won't start and still comes up with the same code. Took of neg battery cable for half hour to reset the brain only to have same results.

All help would be Appreciated

Check your timing belt

Talk to a friend who worked for Chrysler a few years ago and remembered about the brain giving you the camshaft code when it was actually a crank sensor code. So what they did , anytime they got a cam, or crank code they would just change both sensors.
I realize that's Chrysler, but has anyone hear of that? Also should your engine still be able to run with either sensor bad? I didn't tear the engine down and not that inclined to do so. I can see my timing belt peeking around the cover and doe's feel like it has decent tension on it. Also I can see my camshaft turning looking into the oil fill hole.
I got a bad feeling about this....

All help would be Appreciated

That's Chrysler. A cam position code is usually timing, not the sensor on a Volvo.
