Changing the color of the leather interior

Is there a was to change the color of the leather interior other then having it re-upholstered? Maybe a dye, stain, or special paint?

Also, the seam is tearing along the side, any tips to repair that?

Thank you.

I would not change the color--the results will be sub par... Even the same color redye (what sloppy dealers do), shortens the life of the leather. The seam can be repaired but you have to take off the cover, as would a shop, and stitch it back up.

Seats aren't really dyed any more although it is referred to as that it's really more a paint(thats why some seats are lighter than the raw leather and you can't see the differering shades in a piece of car upholstry). Check this page out

but there are others and pros who do it. I have had several done and the results are great and, on one of my cars, doing good after 4 years. Just had ny S80 Done.

I think skin gets better with time. Because any events that leave an imprint are life, and this is how it works in my car. This is history. But when it comes to the fact that something is broken or torn, then this problem already needs to be solved. I prefer natural colors https://create.vista.com/colors/pale...color-palette/ in the interior. That is, if it is skin, then it should look natural. And light colors look beautiful, for example, white or beige.
