I don't have the volvo codes but i do have OBDII codes if any of you could help me out as to specifics that would be great.

P0442: EVAP emissions control system leak (small)

P0134: O2 sensor CKT No Activity (bank 1 sensor 1)

P1172: Manufacturer control Fuel Air metering

P0301: Cylinder 1 misfire detected

P0135: O2 sensor heater circut malfunction (bank 1 sensor 1)

If you can help me out with what specifically these codes are for, other than the small explanation given that would be great, thanks.

That's a lot of codes to cross reference. Are they all current and not corrected? You won't get much more information on the codes except how to fault trace them. It might be easiest for you to get a copy of VADIS and look them up yourself. If you email me I can give you step by step instructions on getting a copy if you don't know how. davecrobinson@Hotmail.com

Looks like a bad coil or spark plug in cylinder 1 and a bad front O2 sensor on the passenger side.

Also look like a minor leak in the evap system.

thanks tech,
i figured that it would possibly be either a bad plug, maybe wire. and i was going to replace that 02 sensor. i just wasn't sure if it could possibly be a fuel injector. I have VADIS on my computer i am just not sure how to cross reference the codes. but i am going out now to buy all new plugs for my car, depending on the money i have available possisbly an 02 sensor. then come home and do that and clean the ETM.

There is a cross over table in there I have it printed out but forget how to get to it.

Maybe someone that remembers will post if. I am going to try to figure it out as well so I can post it.

thank you everyone,

I changed all the plugs, and that solved the misfiring problem.
I unplugged the 1st passengers side O2 sensor to find that one of the cables had frayed and split, so i spliced that and now the car is up and running better. Although the Engine light did come back on for the 02 sensor, but i erased it and will see if it comes back again, and will go from there.

alright since the last update, my car had been running fine, for about a week, then i ran some codes again and it is saying that the O2 sensors have either no activity or low voltage, this is bank 1 sensor 1 and bank 1 sensor 2, could this possibly be a catalytic converter problem, because now my car is quite loud and is idling rough?

thanks for the insight tech, i just wanted some insight as to what the problem might be because either one is an expensive fix. i will check the O2 sensor for carbon and see if they need to be replaced, if not i will go on from there.
