Coolant hose of some type replacement questions

I have a 1999 Volvo S80 Turbo. There is a hose on the underside of the engine in the back that's leaking, from rubbing up against the CV axle it seems like. I'm trying to figure out what the hose is called so I can replace it, and how to remove it at it's upper connecting point.

That's a pic of the hose in question. It's at the back/bottom of the engine towards the passenger side.

I think this is the coolant overflow tank return hose, but I'm not sure. Can anyone help me identify it?

I also can't figure out how to disconnect it. In the first photo you can see how it curves off to the side and goes up into the mid-engine area where there is a heat shield around it. I got the heat shield off, but don't know if there is an o-ring or anything holding it in. It's hard to access from the top of the engine too, partially because there is another good sized heat shield in the way.

Thanks for any help.

That's the oil cooler. Been a while since I've had those hoses off, but you'll probably need to get a swivel socket and long extension to get the upper clamp

So from the sounds of it to, the upper clamp is same as the lower?

Thanks again.

Should be, but its been a while since I've done one. You might want to fix your oil leak, the oil is causing the coolant hose to swell up and deteriorate.

Whatever you do, don't install a cheap hose or you'll be back at it in a year or less.
