RE: cooling fans always on
The fan is bad.Contact the dealer there was a recall on most of the S80's for that.

Does the apply to 00 models as well? And, is there mileage/age limit? Oh, do you have the recall notice #?
|
RE: cooling fans always on
Yours might be under it.
Stop by your local Dealer and have them run the Vin# and they will tell you if there is any open recalls. Sometimes there is a milage/Age limit but usually like 8 years or so. |

[sm=goodidea.gif] But, there is no such thing as local here. nearest is bakersfield 80 miles away. Will call though.

Are you having a problem with yours?
I can tell you how to look if you have an updated one or not. Look at the Fan. You will see a resistor inline on the motor assembly. If it has a black cover on it then it is the old style. If it is all metal and silver it is the new style. |
RE: cooling fans always on
think it is the older model cause it is not completely metal.
Now, is this a dealer only item or can i get one through an auto parts store? Oh, wouldn't happen to have a PN would ya? thanks. |
RE: cooling fans always on
it covers the 2000 they replaced mine in San Antonio with 90,000 miles on it.

RE: cooling fans always on
If it is under Recall it will be done for Free by the Dealer.
|
RE: cooling fans always on
Called the dealer. Yep, being done for free.
Thanks for all the help really appreciate it.:) |
