Dayco timing belt , tensioner and idler pulley
I'm planning to replace my timing belt and related items on my Vovlo 01 S80, 2.9L (non-turbo) and I'm wondering if anyone has any opinions or experiences using Dayco belts and tensioner/pulley.

I would strongly reccomend you go with the OEM.. which is a Continental Belt,
Did some research, the dayco is $37 on rockauto but the continental is $36 on FCP groton.... http://www.fcpgroton.com/category-ex...168/by_year/51 Buy the 3 parts separately, works out cheaper.... Im not saying anything is wrong with Dayco, but when it comes to parts such as this, its best to stick with OEM because you can guarantee the quality of the components... |
My shameless plug for Volvo of OC... call Volvo of Orange County and ask for Ebay Joe in parts...
Buy original equipment... there are a few things I don't mess with buying cheaply -- timing belts and components are one of them - brakes are the other. :) |
