Daytime Running Light Harness - 2009 S80

Just got some simple plasmaglow LED's lights that wire to the daytime running lights and the ground. Issue is, where is the simplest location to wire them in?

When I pull the harness for the daytime running light bulb, how do I determine which colored wire is the 12v feed?

Anybody have images of the colored wires and which are the ones I need to tap into? Many thanks

Mathews Volvo Site has diagrams but I am not that versed in electrical diagrams. If someone can help make heads/tails of it, I would appreciate.

Got help from an auto-tune shop. Turns out that Matthews Volvo site has the schematic for low beam lighting which includes the colors/wires associated with 12V and teh ground. In this case (2009 Volvo S80), 12V is the BU/GN (BLUE/GREEN), and the Ground is BK (Black). Wiring up the LED's tonight!

Sharing The Knowledge - Wiring LED

There are different color codes for left/right so be prepared before you go crimping or splicing. In my case, I used a male/female crimp (as not to void my warranty). The lights look fantastic. Also, I used the opportunity to replace my factory bulbs with PIAA Xtra White's and found that the Volvo manual for this model is incorrect. Oddly, the bulb size is even hard stamped onto the headlight assembly...and it's still wrong.

Low beams are H11, High Beams are H9 (not H7/H9 as the manual says; Volvo 2009 S80 V8). Do not buy the 65W H9 high beams from PIAA, they will blow your fuses as the amperage is too much for the circuit. Makes sure your replacements are 55W or less. Went through 2 fuses to learn that one.
