engine system service urgent - p0102
 

Hello all,

Last night on the freeway while driving my s80 t6 i pulled out to pass someone and punched the accelerator at about 80km/h, the car hesitated and went into limp mode and immediately the message "engine system service urgent" came up. I pulled off into a parking lot after stalling numerous times. I couldn't keep the car running.
After a $200 tow bill home the only thing my scanner is picking up is a P0102. I disconnnected the MAF to see if there would be any difference. I can drive the car without it stalling unless I put it in neutral or park then it wants to surge and stall but stays running.
As soon as I reconnect the MAF I cannot drive at all, it just stalls almost immediately.

With the MAF disconnected will you get "engine system service urgent" or is that possibly something else that my scanner is not picking up. It seems obvious that the MAF sensor must be at fault seeing as the car wont drive with it connected but why does it surge at idle when disconnnected?

Any input greatly appreciated.
