Engine trouble? s80 2000 2,5d (audi)

Volvo s80 - acceleration problem
Hello, bougt me a Volvo S80 2.5D year 2000 auto- 147000kms and I have the following problem: Practically each time when i give gas starting from about 2500rpm the car seems to accelerate for 1 seconds and then waits about 0,2 seconds, then the car accelerates again for about 1 seconds, and so on...about 500rpm at the time. All the power is available (he still reaches his top speed) but it seems like the engine holds each time a little bit. starting at about 2500rpm.Anybody have an idee what could be the problem or what causes it?
best regard paa

sounds like TCV(turbo control valve) to me. My s80 t6 would do the same thing. Had power and then it would feel like it just dropped down and then a second later, it would go again.

Thanks for the advice,is the same on a old disel engine? if so I will try to borrow a valve to see if there is any difference ..

Not really sure what you're asking me, sorry. Are you asking if my TCV is the same as your turbo diesel engine's? I don't know, i'm sorry.

The valve was not the fault, any good ideas please?

Do you have a check engine light on? Does it feel like a misfire? Does the check engine light blink? Hard to say what it could be without a video or code information. :)

Hi, i have checked and there is no check engine light, no missfire, no faulty codes. Its almost like a surging or drop of turbo boost at every 500rpm over 3000rpm.:
