Fault Codes

Hello, I have a really bad sputter or miss when I'm sitting at a stop light and then when I begin to accelerate it's not getting full power and then it will kick in this continues up to about 50-60 mph. I took it to the dealer and they said to start with the plugs. I had the spark plugs changed there has been no change. They gave me a print out of the codes. I was wondering if anyone knew what they were or if they knew what this could be. ECM-4338, 644A, 3502, 3522, 6440, 3503, 3523, They said they checked COMP and it was ok....
Thank you
Amie

RE: Fault Codes

I just had the ECM replaced on my '99 S80, I had similar symptoms that you describe. For 1999-2001 models, this has been a huge problem. Check out web site: www.fazmiclaw.com/Volvo.html. They are a law firm in California trying to get Volvo to replaced these items at Volvo's expense, or reimburse owners who have had this done and paid for it already.

Does it say anything next to the codes they gave you?
Sounds like maybe a throttle body issue but could also be a bad coil/coils.

RE: Fault Codes

The problem described is quite similiar to mine that I just wrote here today to seek advise. But in my case, the service, named the problem as transmission problem as the "transmission valve body" has to be changed.
