Firing order 1-2-4-5-3-6
Can someone verify that this is the correct cylinder order, with the #1 cylinder closest to the timing belt? This would be for a 2001 model. Still getting #3 cylinder misfire after replacing what I think is the #3 cylinder coil. Or did I replace the wrong coil?

From online manual:
Firing order: 15-3-6-2-4 |

For the sake of being called stupid, that would make the 3rd plug from the timing belt, the #3 cylinder in your firing order. I have a Haynes manual that has that location identified as the #4 cylinder...That might expalin why I still get the #3 cylinder misfire. With your order the #3 clyinder is 3rd from the TB. I will swap my new coil over to that location and see if it fixes my misfire problem.

The firing order is 1 5 3 6 2 4 but that is different than the cylinder order as it is for all engines. I believe the cylinder order starts at 1 on the passenger side and is numbered sequentially to the drivers side. 1 2 3 4 5 6. It sounds like your haynes manual has the cylinder order reversed possibly.

Thanks Mr. Spunkymonky, I guess I was overthinking on this problem. I got the firing order mixed with the correct cylinder order. Replaced the #3 cylinder spark plug coil pack and that corrected the misfire problem.
Thanks again |
