heater core
2001 Volvo S 80 turbo
Bad heater core - must replace (never again!!) Have pulled glove compartment, console, temp panel, radio, under dash panels (both) & probably other stuff I'm not remembering. I can see one small corner from driver side. Do I have to remove the dash? How? What's best way to access/replace heater core from here? Thanks |
You remove it from under the dash on the drivers side. You did not need to take any of what you did apart. It comes out from under the dash.

Thanks. I'm apparently seeing it, but not recognizing. When I look from drivers side, I see only a small part of core. After removing panel under dash, is there anything else or should I be able to extract from here?

You will also need to remove the blend motor and linkages. But be VERY careful pulling them out. The linkage will break if you are to rough. Then there is 2 screws then the core should slide out provided you have the lines disconnected. You have to hold the line out of the way while you slide it out.
