i actaully just bought mine at http://www.cqlight.ca for 220 Us shipped. You need the H7 size. I think that 6500K ( colour intensity) would be just right altough some people go 8000K. Professionals charge about 100 Bux for installation

Well there is another brand MTEC on ebay, I have this kit its Really nice....It comes with the ballasts, bulbs, AND Voltage balancers. Without the voltage the balancers there will be an errors message...The mtec kit runs for about 380$, but will not cause any errors messages and comes with a 2 year warranty with it. I got the 8000k. The installation I did myself, took me about 60-90 mins and I know very much about cars.

Have you had any effects on the lens from the heat? I heard the bulbs are alot hotter which would affect your lenses over some time. What do you all think?

Had them on my mustang. Installed two kits so far on motorcyles as well. They are great, especially bi-xenon kits which will give you HID high beams as well. Install is not really hard at all, it just comes down to where you want to mount the ballasts, run the wiring, etc.

The higher the kelvin, the more deep the colors get. I had a 4500k on my mustang which was a good solide white color. If you want true purple or blue then continue up the kelvin ladder, but there not going to be as bright imo. Check your local laws too because where I live, 8k is even illegal unless installed from factory. Nothing worse then spending all that money and getting a fix it ticket and having to take it all out again.

As far as the lense thing goes, Not sure on the volvo, however the mustang went a good two years with no problems at all.

Technically an after-market lighting is not street legal, at least here in Massachusetts. (Although they don't really enforce it.)
