High Pitch buzzing sound
I have a 2006 Volvo S-80, 2.5L Turbo. It has 115000 miles on it. A month ago, I started the vehicle and heard a high pitch buzzing sound coming from the engine compartment. It not coming from the pulley side of the engine, it seems to be coming from just over the transmission area. It will sound when the ignition is turned to the last accessory position before starting and will continue after the engine is started. It doesn't seem to increase or decrease with revving the engine. I cycled the engine to the last accessory position and back off and recycled it again and I heard an audible clicking sound that seemed to come from the ignition coil/fuel rail area. After cycling, I finally turned the motor over and the engine started and and the sound went away. The first time this occurred, it had an associated Check Engine light come on. I had the code read and it stated "Fuel Pressure Regulator". After cycling the engine again as stated early, the check engine light went out and the buzzing went away. This has occurred three times in over the past month.....any ideas (This vehicle has had timing belt replaced and the fuel pump has been replaced 3 times).......Thanks!!:confused:
