Idle problem

Hi, I had the idle problem mentioned here by other posters. My 2001 S80 would stall every time I came to a stop. I went to the dealer today and a software download solved the proble. Also, I had the dreaded clunking from the front end of my car. The technician diagnosed it as a worn sway bar link. After it was replaced the car rode like new. No more clunking. While there he helped to solve a wetness problem on the driver's side carpet. This all happened at Fairfax Volvo in Northern Virginia. I guess what was most amazing about all this was (this was my first time at a Volvo Dealer. I have had the car 6 months) the total cost of the service was $106.00. Not bad at all.

RE: Idle problem

I had my turn signals stop working the other day. I brought it into the Volvo dealer and they loaded the necessary software in and the turn signals work fine. It really did surprise me how much the computer can effect your car and so many aspects of its operation. They uploaded new engine software also to ensure optimal running and to fix the exact issue that you had. While I have not experienced the stalling or any degredation, I figured it couldn't hurt any. My total cost was $80...
