Inside Fan Blower on when Parked
So I've owned my 2001 Volvo S80 since June and this is the second time this has occured...
After a drive, I'll park it then an hour or so later, come back and the inside blower is on full blast. Nothing seems to turn it off unless you start the car. It doesn't happen often but I'm figuring it's just to cool off the turbos or something. Is this supposed to happen? |
It is designed that way. The fan kicks on to dry the evaperator so that mold will not grow on it.
It is called the afterblow function. |
Thanks, how come it doesn't happen all the time? Like I said, it only has happened twice. Does something trigger it?
|
It only works if you use the A/C.
The computer is what turns it on. |
