LED (1157) Replacements

Do you think I would have any problems if I replaced the 1157-style bulbs in the taillights with LED style replacements? I know LED's don't burn out (or at least not as easily) and it seems like I have to replace at least 1 bulb every week or two! Please follow the link below to see what I am considering switching them to.

EDIT: I know, I know, I just can't leave good enough alone. I only pay like $2.00 / each for these LED's also so that was another reason I was considering them.

It's just over $2.00 each my cost through the motorcycle shop I work at. Just goes to show some of the mark-up there is on aftermarket items. I was looking at the headlight bulbs and noticed that they are standard H7 bulbs which is a commonly used bulb in motorcycles also. So I am looking into Xenon bulbs and other misc little stuff like that too. We get PIAA, candlepower, and a bunch of other stuff through our distributors.

EDIT: Those come from Parts Unlimited (one of the largest distributors of aftermarket MC Parts & Accessories in the world). I am going to order some tomorrow so we shall see!

EDIT 2: You can browse their catalogs here: http://www.parts-unlimited.com/

I suggest buying an HID kit from SharpHID. John will treat your right and their prices are great.

I'm gonna check them out (thanks for the link). I basically got bored at work and was browsing one of the catalogs and these caught my eye. Then I checked my cost on them and thought I'd give them a shot for what the price is. Once I get them I will let you guys know how they work.

I saw an S80 with dark tailights the other day. It didn't have covers on it (I call them black outs). Any ideas? I thought possibly the guy had put window tint on them somehow or some kind of see-thru vinyl? Anyone have any ideas?

Finally got time to snap some pics. Bulbs look good but they throw a "check brake light" message everytime the brake pedal is applied. Maybe because the LED's use alot less power? In any event, here are the pics I promised although they are not the best and hard to tell any difference from the images. There is a noticable difference in person though.

The check brake message would get old quick and totally not worth the aggrevation IMO, but glad someone tried it out.
