Need a little help
 

Hi,
I am having some trouble with my 2001 Volvo S80. If anybody has any suggestions, would be great. The problem is as follows.

There was a misfire and the engine codes said misfire in cylinder #2. Was driving to the garage and suddenly the transmission started showing problems. There was problems shifting up and was getting stuck. Arrived at the mechanic, engine codes showed misfire in cylinder #4 and transmission code of P0839 or 0840, not sure. It was something to do with transmission fluid and switching circuit A or something. What could be the problem. I am pretty sure the transmission is fine. The car has 148000 on it.
