Oil Smell / Leak

I know you have answered oil leak questions before, but just wanted to make sure I am on track. the car leaks oil pretty good, enough that I must drive with windows up, ac on and recirculation turned on all the time. If I don't smells like oil in the entire car. Gotten under the car a few times, but hard to see where the leak is at. I know the oil starts some where from the back of the engine. Is there anyway to say "hey if it smells that bad, must be the turbo connection, or the o rings. Any steps to make this EZ? See if this seems right.
1. drop shield
2. clean back of engine
3. start engine run at hi RPM
4. shut off and look for leak.

Also any idea on:
1. Where I can get a check drivers side fog light lens.
2. Motor has a slight surge at around 60mph. Full tune up was done, no "TRUE" codes.

The first thing to do would be Drop the spalsh pan and Fully clean the back of the engine really good.

Then drive it for a couple of miles Boosting it quite a bit. Then check it out.

Sounds like it might be the turbo return lines. They are a pain to replace the seals on.

I agree w/ tech, the return line seals are a PITA. Keep a couple hours of your time open if you plan on doing this project.

As far as your other questions.

1. Check ebay for the foglight lense. Usually the cheapest place for stuff like that. If junkyards in your area carry cars like those, it's not a bad place to check.

2. The surge could be due to lots of things. Explain what you did on a "full tune up" Was it done at a volvo dealer? Did they try to address the problem?

RE: Oil Smell / Leak

Tune done by a Volvo tech who only does Volvos and was done during the 60k service as part of the service. He didn't mention any problems except with the ABS module needed to be replaced. Only have had the car about 2 months.

What are the procedures for replacing t he seals?

RE: Oil Smell / Leak

You have to get the lines out and replace the Seals.. Will most likey take you about 3 to 4 hours to do.
