P0030 and P0050
Just changed out the timing belt, water pump, and front crank seal on our 01 S80 T6, and am now getting 2 codes coming up, P0030 and P0050. Someone has told me it may NOT be an O2 sensor problem, but could possibly be a vacuum hose problem. SOOO....before I go buying 02 sensors, any input you may have as to how to narrow down the cause would be greatly appreciated.
If it IS the 02 sensors, can you tell me exactly where they are located and how to get to them.....I have been under the car a lot today---and it looks pretty full under there (LOL!). As always............THANKS for your help!!! |
It more than likely is the sensors, but those are just for the pre-heating element, the sensors probably are ok, just not at start up. You will need to replace the sensors though to fix it.

Hmmmm.....ok. Help me understand a bit here, though.....IF the sensors ARE ok, is there nothing else I can do but replace them-just to get the darned check engine light out? (or did I misunderstand what you were trying to tell me...?)
Thanks for your patience! |
Well, darn..........the link that was posted above will not download. Anyone have another one? Thanks!
