Question Really need help ASAP!

Hello my name is Allen, I'm new to the forum and new to Volvo's.

I have been looking for info for days...

I have a 99' S80 T6 and it won't go over 20 mph, we put a scanner on it and it come back as the TPS, all I can find is the one from the dealership that is $700+ and then $160 for them to put it on.

So really my questions are...

Is the ETM and the TPS the same thing?

If not, by sending my ETM to http://xemodex.com/ will that fix my problem..

If it won't where is the cheapest place I can find one?

Thanks in advance Allen.

What is your code? Sometimes it could be your Mass Air Flow causing your symptom. The etm has been a high failure part and expensive. Xemodex seems to be the better soultion although still expensive.

Truthfully, One of my dads friends put the scanner on it so I dont know the code, But he looked it up and said it was the TPS...

What could the problem with the mass air flow be? May be a retarded question but could it throw the TPS code and make it not go over 20?

So are you saying if I send it to that company it will fix the problem with the tps for sure?

Thanks for the help man!
Allen

I believe the code is P0121 for your ETM and your car went into what is called limp mode because volvo doesn't want your ETM to completely fail with a wide open throttle can kill it's customers.
