yup i finally figured it out and put it to try and the result is just awsome!!..
I "extended" the volvo badge.. and no i did not buy a new volvo badge. Instead i removed the old one (leaving the L in place) and moved 5inch apart. and walah!!. I am really liking it: |

Anyways i then bought 3M double-sided tape from Home Depot and applied it to the back side of the those 4 letters i removed, cutting the excess tape with a sharp blade. Thats it. The only problem i had was removal of the badges. That took some time but i think it was worth it. I think if you were to buy a new Volvo badge from the dealer it would cost anywhere from $30-$50. This method is way move cheap. The 3M tape was like $4 and dental floss was like $3. WOW:D |
They started doing this from the factory, is that what gave you the idea?

ya i noticed but when i 1st saw it on a new Volvos it never occured to me to change it on my S80 BUT when i saw it on a similiar 2006 S80 i was blown away and i really like it. So then i started searching online and calling dealers for prices. But they were expensive :(..So out of no where when i was looking at my badge i saw that each letters were not connected (like lets say a Lexus badge is..Each letter is connected).
So now its simply removing each letter and moving it. I think this also gives a presence.. |
