S80 1999 MR 2000 - instantaneous combustion problem
Hi.
I'm Mike from Poland. Since last week I have my new (used) car, which I always dreamed of - Volvo S80, 1999y, 2,4 petrol, 140 KM (code name of engine: B5244S2). And only one small problem. The "instantaneous combustion" showed by the trip-computer. When the car is stopped, it showes "--,- L / 100 km". That's correct (I mean - few others S80 I've saw - do the same). Now, when I press the gas pedal and start accelerating, it shows "99,9 L / 100 km" and does that for the time I have my leg on the pedal, or sometimes after serveral seconds it goes down, until normal measurement. Everything then is fine as long as I will not again stop - I can accelerate, break (but not stop), drive - it shows then OK. The throttle is ok, it has a new software, the engine, the counter - it all has a new software loaded today. The orginal VIDA at volvo service shows no engine/abc/srs/... errors. Any of You had a similar problem ever? Any tip how to resolve this problem? (Selling the car is not a solution). Sory for my english, I hope You understand me :) |
Maybe better word instead of instantaneous combustion would be: temporary consumption ?
