s80 ambient air temp
 

Hello everyone I am a newby- I am trying to locate and replace the ambient air temp sensors on my 2003 volvo s80 D5. I assume they are in the wing mirrors, anybody know how the get the blinking things out. I have removed wing mirror but cant fathom out what to do next.

did you ever figure this out? i'm getting a P1113 error code and need to replace these sensors also

Yes I did... I was getting a false reading on the dash of outside temperature.
Purchased new sensor from volvo dealer.
Remove door panel driver side.
Remove wing mirror 3 bolts
Disconnect wiring harness connector,,, take mirror to kitchen table.
Dig out sensor from below mirror and snip wires
Fit new sensor and solder in new wires to loom and cover in heat shrink.
Refit in opposite order
