s80 electrical problem after battery replacement
 

We replaced a dying battery. We have all power except to the panel below the radio/cd(radio ok). There is no heater/AC or fan control...all dead. nothing on that lower panel works. We've checked all fuses and no help. We checked the main bus where there is 60 amp fuses and all ok... Any ideas................

********We had the dealer look at the climate unit and says it needs to be replaced and reprogrammed for $1100. So buyer beware this is a possibility if you replace a dead battery. Anyone else with any help before we subcum to Volvo's short comings.......

tech has a reply to this on this forum. Disconnect batt, connect cables (+) (-) together for 5 minutes. Turn ignition on, reconnect battery.

If that doesn't work try locking and unlocking the car with the key or Remote.
