S80 engine
 

I have a 2000 s80 and i believe the engin went out on me. if that is the case are there any other s80 2.9 L engines thats will work. I saw a 99 s80 2.9L for a decent price. thx in advance.

Better of just getting a different car, bud.

If i wasn't still making payments i'd love to get a new car, but that really isnt an option. So I need to know will a 99 engine fit in a 2000.

How do you know it "went out". Did the timing belt snap? What is wrong with it?

Well i was driving an started losing pressure and there was a clanging under the hood. I pulled over on the freeway. i had checked my oil recently. i got back in and drove to my nect exit, and the clang got very loud, then it would no longer turn over. when i turn the key to the start position it clicks. i'm having a mobile mechanic come look at it on saturday, bt everyone i talked to including a mechanic says it sounds like the enging is gone. I've found a few engines under warranty on ebay for abt a grand.

You didn't throw a timing belt did you..?
