S80 ignition coil pack

I have purchased the ignition coil pack for #2 cylinder, and all new plugs for this car. (2.9 6 cyl/non turbo), as OBD II pulled code P0302, "cylinder 2 misfire detected". Other than unbolting the intake manifold and lifting it out of the way, is there anything difficult about changing out the coil pack and all the spark plugs? I presume the coil pack, once the one bolt is off, just "slips" straight up? Thanks for your help!

Don't unbolt the intake manifold. Just unscrew the two piece black cover over top of the coils. Then unplug the coil, unbolt the coil, and pull the coil straight up and out.

I'd disconnect the battery too just to be on safe side. If you just ran the car wait five minutes so all the modules save their data first.

The piece of cover over timing belt can be a bit tricky to remove. There are two clips front and back near curved part you have to release. It only covers the first coil though, so you might not have to remove both (unless you're doing plugs too, that is.)

oops, see you said plugs too now, whadda booze brain. Anywho, these are the tools I used for my S80 plugs:

from left to right: torque wrench, anti-seize for plug threads, dielectric for coil boot, extra long plug socket (but you'll still need an extension) and a plug inserter and removal tool so you don't ruin the gap (some people use a piece of hose instead).
