S80 T6 - Side Body Mouldings

I have done a search and as yet have not been fruitful in the results. While I continue to check can someone please advise how to remove the side mouldings from an S80 T6 (1999). These are the "black plastic mouldings" that are about half-way up the side of the car. It also runs along the back of the car, and run along the front of the car as well.

I am wanting to paint these white, and give my car an updated look (like the newer Volvos).

I haven't removed them in a long time open the door and look at the back edge and see if there is a plug and a screw. The older cars the screw comes out and the molding slide foward to remove.

Hi FS, that is fantastic information. Do you have the instructions for pulling off the front and rear mouldings as well?

Thanks FS, that front does look surprisingly easy. The rear pictures however suggest that the rear bumper has to be removed to remove the rubber moulding. Wouldn't have thought it did.

Thanks for the info.
