Exclamation S80 someone tried steal it, now won't start while jumping starter

1999 S80 168K miles cranked fine, parked overnight and someone tried to steal it by jumping wires. Under the driver's left side dash a red wire was cut and a Green/Red wire-same as the starter wire, was skinned. I did not notice the wires at first. Tried to start, checked battery, tested starter and replaced it, still nothing. Reconnected the cut wires. I can jump the starter wire and it turns over fine. Car will not start.

Tried resetting the immobilizer, key to I, press trip odometer, key to III, flashing check eng., key to 0. Still nothing. Tried another key without remote. Nothing. I don't see other wires cut. No alarms, but for several months the "Alarm Service Required" has been on when starting, because the driver's lock won't work with the remote--all others locks work.

Any other suggestions please before I have it towed?

Are you getting any messages in the window?

Just one time I did get an Immobilizer message. After another start attempt it disappeared. All other times I get no messages, except the Alarm Service required..same message that clears after a few seconds. The remote and key will lock and unlock the car no problem. I have tried a new battery today, Looked around at the wires where the two were cut and see nothing. Hope you can help.

Make sure all the fuses are good and they did not blow one when they cut the wires.

I did check fuses under the hood and inside. I swapped some for same rated fuse for starter, fuel pump and others that could be related. I wonder if the Immobilizer is still a problem or the fuel pump is locked out if possible. I get no voltage to the green/red starter wire. Maybe the ignition is affected. I replaced the fob battery.

Thanks, Gary

Looks normal and I tried Neitral and Park. Is it odd that I get the Immobilizer Activated..see Owner's manual one time only? If I jump it at the starter with the key in Position II, it cranks but won't start.

Thanks, Gary

Something is kicking the immoblizer in not sure why. I think you need to have the codes pulled now though.

Any way to clear the Immobilizer to drive it to the dealer?

Thanks,

Gary
