s80 wont turn over
 

My 2000 S80 T6 has intermitten starting trouble. It will not turn over, all electronics work and battery is fully charged. There are no messages or error codes. Up until today I have been able to get it started by putting in neutral and juggling the gear shift. Anyone know about a neutral safey lock switch or park switch problem?

It is not real common on the S80's to go bad.
What I would do is take a test light and stick it in the back of the small wire on the starter. If you have power when the key os turned to the start position the starter is bad.
If you have no power then it is most likely in the park neutral Position sensor(PNP) switch.

Is the park neutral switch on the gear shifter or the trans ?

Thanks I'll check the starter first. Is the switch hard to get to and change?
