SRC airbag service immediately & STC lights on now?!?
 

Well, I had an aftermarket deck installed at a local audio store to compliment my new Infinity speakers all around inside, and they took out the old unit. In its place is a dash kit and the new radio. It's a SUPER nice Kenwood unit that allows you more tunability to the speakers than the stock unit does.

However, after having it installed, I get a "src aribag service immediately" notice on the info center....and for the STC. Yet the stc works fine and without any problems????? It seems as if installing the new radio has fouled up the wiring for the airbag system somewhere, or mabye my S80 just doesn't like the new radio???

Ideas? These service messages when everything appears to work flawlessly is getting old.

Nah, all you need is a dealer reset.

Whenever you mess about with the radio you need to disconnect the battery to prevent this from happening.

You need to have the Dealer download software to remove the old radio as a control module.
The old radio was part of a Network. Not it is missing and they are all confused.

just out of curiousity,

Everytime you disconnect your battery, is there a chance the SRS Airbag message can come on?
