SRS air bag Service Urgent
 

I have this message when I start the car a red light is on in the center triangle for a few secounds and the message center reads SRS Air bag Service Urgent. I believe that this is a maintanence message and not a malfunction message. I went to the local parts store and borrowed their scanner and no codes came up. Can any one tell me if this is indicating that I have a malfunction or is it the 10 year replacement of the air bag system? What course of action would you recommend?

The car is a 2002 S80 with 148,000 miles on it. Also the time for regular service message is coming on when I start the car

I took it to a shop they found a code 00D4 SRS lamp fualty. I think this means that the air bag system is not getting the signal that the air bag lamp is working however the lamp goes on and off normally. I did have a problem with entire instrument cluster it was dead for a few secounds I pressed the odometer button and the dash came to life and I haven't had any problems with the instrument cluster since.

This is a common problem related to the instrument cluster. I am lucky enough to experience this issue right now. Just curious if you have resolved it yet?
