Default SRS-tech

Well went to my Volvo delearship, and am not happy at all....

Job #1 -

Customer States that srs airbag light is on SRS 007C seat belt tensioner, middle resistane too high 007A Copacitance to high. Wiring for aftermarket stereo still present on hat shelf & in left rear wheel well. Cust to reschedule when all wirein removed.

Tech, whats the code mean, and why do i have to remove all the wiring???? Its not even hooked up.....

Job #2 -
Customer states that when heat is on max & on high speed fan is very loud. Needs blower motor $440.00 - thing is after they looked at it, the noise went away.....
Where can i get the part number for this and where can I get it cheap? Is it easy to replace(can I do it myself)?

this is very dissappointing......

I will have to look up the code tuesday.

The blower motor isn't all that bad. It just takes a little time.

No source on the parts.

You will have to remove it from under the dash. Then you will have to remove a couple of screws to slide the blower motor out of the plastic housing.

The way you put it sounds too easy, ahahah, do u have a place where i can see the instructions for it....?

Or is it this....... for instructions,

1.) remove dash
2.)unscrew blower motor
3.) put in new blower

what do you think is the total estimated time on doing this?

I realized somehting, when Volvo erased the DTC's the message was gone on my dash computer. When i folded down the driver side back seat, the message came back on...
Could that be the problem with the srs system, right when i folded down the seat the SRS service urgent message came up?

Thanks tech

The lower dash I believe has 2 screws holding it on. Then unscrew the blower motor and replace.
It may take an Hour tops since it is the first time.

That sounds like it may be the problem in the seat. The seatbelts are tied into the SRS system. Try to check the wiring on the side of the seat close to the door. It is where the seat bolts to the floor.
