Timing belt condition question.
Hello,
Not sure if you have seen other of my posts , but I'm now working on another S80 (2000 T6) that I bought in the beginning of August for a good price. It has almost 124,000 miles on it now . Question is, I know the Timing belt was changed in 2010 ,then it disappears from car fax for 7 years . Anyways here is a picture of the belt. And can wait till spring time to replace.https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/volvofo...8c3c73f3a3.jpg P.s. The more I drive the car the better it gets. Thank you. |
I'd replace it. Just those cracks on the outer skin means it is getting fatigued. It's a very critical component so don't let it fail.

You should always do the pump when you replace the belt.
