Transmission issues, just rebuilt
 

I just bought my 00 S80 T6. The trans went out on me about 30mi after I bought it. I had to get it rebuilt. Its been maybe 200mi since the rebuild, and since day 1, it feels like its slipping sometimes, I don't know if its the trans, or the car itself? I don't usually own automatic cars, so i'm kinda new to this. When I punch the car trying to pass someone on the freeway, it seems to hesitate to downshift. Then when I have the car on cruise around 45-50 it (though very subtile) feels like its jerking. Also, my driveway is on a hill, and when I put it in reverse (back of car facing down hill) it is tough and kicks in very rough. Also, for the first time today, I was slowing down for a red light, and just as I was about to stop, the light turned green, so I hit the gas to get back up to speed, and it took a minute to actually start moving, and when it did, it jerked into gear (but then was back to normal).

I am pretty sure this stuff isn't normal, but hoping to get some imput from some people who have owned they're S80 a little longer than I have.

Try, not punching it, but rather, accellerating smoothly, then get into it. The turbo has to spool up, before reaching it's midrange performance. At low RPM's they will hesistate, if floored.

Are you using your emergency brake? If not,that may be why.

Bring it back to the the transmission shop if you feel it is slipping.
