tucana 17" chrome wheels on 01' s80
 

hey guys im new to the forums here and just picked up a brand new set of these chrome tucana wheels for a good price. specs are same except with a 49mm ofset vs. the factory 43mm. i have searched through the threads in hopes someone else was running these but no luck. i found several other 49mm rims listed as fitting s80, some stating they require a small spacer and others saying not. wanted to get some opinions on them. i love the s80 and i wanted to stay with a factory rim and i think the chrome tucana wheels look amazing! i know some are concerned with rubbing at full clock and the car is not going to be lowered at all and i plan on running a 225 or 235 tire max on this wheel. for those who have run or know about 49mm offset wheels did you require a spacer or not? the place i bought them from specializes in volvo wheels and said they should not need a spacer unless i exceeded a 235 tire width.
if you ran a spacer did you get longer stud lugs? i am going to order some new chrome studs to match the wheels but wanted to make sure a spacer was not needed before ordering short or long ones. if i need a spacer no big deal. thanks a lot for the replies!

welll i called a couple different local volvo dealers about this and they said they should fit fine and that a spacer with longer stud lugs or a stud conversion and spaers would set them out even better but they both said they should fit no problem. they also stated not to go bigger than a 225 width unless i used a spacer to avoid rub and also a max of 235 with a 5mm spacer would put the offset back down to 44mm which is only 1mm different from stock and i may or may not get rub with the 235 but a 225 and spacer would prob not rub. hope this helps out some of you guys. if you guys are interested in these wheels, they are on ebay for $499 brand new with free shipping and include center caps! cheapest i found them was before this was $529 free shipping without center caps. heres the link where i got mine if anyone is interested.i will post up pics once i have mine mounted up. also this listing doesnt list s80 as a vehicle that they fit due to the 49mm offset but i called the company about this when ordering them and he also stated they would fit but they usually only recommend an offset of 46 max and not the use of spacers, which is why they excluded the s80 in their listing. i think it will be a nice factory look.

those chrome rims will look good on the car. Its very similar to non-chrome design. Plus a good deal too. cant wait to see the final pictures installed on the car.
