Are turbo sparks needed for turbo Volvo?

Turbo spark plugs for 2015 3.0 t6 awd or the non turbo plugs. Which is OK?

So your question is basically "Do I need to put the correct spark plugs in my engine?"

Yes, you do.

I strongly suggest OEM.

Thanks ES6T

I did purchase OEM Volvo Turbo plugs but the vendor/ seller sent me the non turbo plugs. They said it didn’t matter; your response confirmed my suspicion. I’ve owned seven Volvos over the last thirty years and only recently bought two with turbos: 2015 S80 3.0 T6 and a 2016 XC60 same 3.0 turbo engine. That’s why I’m showing my ignorance. Thank you kindly for the response.
Cheers

ES6T is correct, best move is to check your owners manual for the correct part number as plugs vary by heat range, resistance, insertion depth. Also note that modern electronic ignitions and fuel injection systems really extend the life of the plugs - check your car's maintenance schedule but I recall the replacement interval for the spark plugs is every 70K miles.

Nothing in manual.

For the B6304T2 engine, which I have, the internet and the Volvo dealership calls out for the OEM plug 31286359 (made in Japan). There are other internet Volvo sites which call out the OEM plug 30751805 (made in Germany). Both number plugs fit the B6304T2 engine. So why wouldn’t a turbo engine take the turbo plug over the non turbo plug? Why would Volvo call out only the non turbo plug as the replacement? There is nothing in the Volvo manual remotely covering spark plug specs.

My go to resources are the dealer parts web sites which list the factory part numbers by model. Tasca Parts has the best prices I've found (located in Rhode Island... good for us New Englanders) They list 31286359 as the part number - $65 for a set of Genuine Volvo. Also, A good resource to have is the Volvo factory maintenance schedule for your car. New plugs are recommended every 70K miles.
