Turn Off Engine Temp Too High
hello all,
This is my first post in the forum. I have a 2001 Volvo s80 residing from the Dominican Republic. I took my car in to the shop last week to get it checked out due to the fact that the onbaord computer signaled that the Engine temp was in the red. The temp meter would go into red each time i would try to turn on the car. Whats wierd about the issue is that i would touch the engine and it would be cool, nowhere neer hot.
The shop charged me about 50 dolars for the electrical check and assumed that everything was ok. But two days later I got the same error but decided to keep on driving it instead of towing and it worked fine until I got home. I check a post about reseting the computer by disconnecting the battery for about an hour and it worked, but I dont want to keep on doing this every two days.
Seeing that my local volvo specialist in my contry is not verry good where can i check so i can fix it my self, or take it to the shop and help them figure the way to fix this permanently.
Regards,
Juan
