vacuum leak?
 

I've noticed a whistling noise coming from my car. I'm not really sure what it is, but could it be a vacuum leak? What kind of symptoms would I see if I had a vacuum leak? Thanks!

Maybe a vaccum leak.
You might not notice anything.
Worse case a check engine light and maybe idle surge.

Is it a turbo or Non?

Dont mean to be a smart arse...but i may be the turbo, if you have one?... I can sometimes hear mine and other
times not??

I do have a turbo. I really only notice the whistling when I'm idling...would the turbo be on when idling? Thanks for the help.

Turbo will not be on Idling.

Try to listen closely to where it is coming from.

Mine has a whistling noise too, but when i took it in recently to get #5 cylinder coil pack inspected due to emissions check, mechanic said whistle was fine, nothing unordinary. My engine runs fine after coil pack fixed. My fuel pump whines something fierce but still running ok. Are you losing performance?
