hi my s80 is in trouble.. instrument panel is completely dead, when it happened the central locking also went as well as the warning seat belt lights on the mirror... put in on a volvo diagnostic machine and the central locking and mirror lights came back... got someone else to look at it and he thought he could recondition the instrument panel but nothing he tried worked.. picked it up and again central locking and mirror lights were also gone ... stopped for petrol and when i started the car again these came back.. but i still hav no lights wat so ever in instrument panel or noises eg indicators clicking etc.. need help volvo want €1100 for new instrument panel but few people have told me they dont think its actually instrument panel.. its a 2000 volvo s80 petrol automatic.. also does anyone know if a secondhand instrument panel will work or does it need new software etc... any help would be greatly appreciated . love my car n dont want to get rid of it if its at all possible to fix

 

I have a 2000 s80 t6... my ignition switch caused a lot of strange problems... might be worth a check..
