Volvo s80 and other p2 ac issues

For the last few months my ac started to cycle off for longer periods of time. I figured that it was low on refrigerant so I gave it a boost but it didn't solve the problem.. I know most modern cars have both high and low pressure switches so I decided to empty the system and weigh refrigerant in to the factory spec amount.... Still the issue is getting worse.... It was 96 degrees today and the compressor cycled off shortly after I exited the highway and It would not turn back on..... windows down and a sweaty trip home im pissed.... I plugged in my scanner and had a pressure switch code but it doesn't make sense that the pressure switch code comes up with the electromagnet for the clutch still active.... Unless someone has a better idea I have a new compressor for 180 bucks and if I could find out where the pressure switch is Id like to replace that to
