Volvo service is EXPENSIVE :(

So ya I got a service message display and I called volvo service and they said for a regular service of approx 74,000 miles they have charge like $300..I duuno what kind of service they will be doing for that ridiculous charge..Also the car is certified preowned (CPO)..so I guess I will have to do the regular service from the volvo dealership then? As long as the CPO is valid..that is true right??

You do not need to service your vehicle at a Volvo dealership to keep any extended warranty, you just must follow the service schedule and maintain proof you did (if there is a repair needed).

European cars in general are expensive to maintain, Audi, BMW, MB, Saab, Volvo, etc, etc, all the same in that boat.

As for the service for 75,000 miles, you need the following completed:
  • Oil Change
  • Air Filter Change
  • Cabin Air Filter Change
  • Brake Fluid Replace

The rest of the items on the service schedule are just visual inspection.
