fuel won't shut off when refueling

I have a 2019 V90 Inscription and occasionally when fueling the gas pump will not shut off automatically when full. If I've stepped into the car due to weather or gone in the mini market for a coffee it will continue to pour out all over the car and ground until someone manually shuts it off. Clearly a dangerous situation and one that the local Volvo dealers all say they have never heard of. Anyone else have this problem?

Sounds like you need to shop at a new gas station. the shut off mechanism is in the pump nozzle not the car. Even if you are filling a plastic fuel jug, once the fuel hits the nozzle, it should trip off. A more common problem is that the pump shuts off too early due to fuel splashing in the filler neck...

that's logical but I have five other vehicles that I fuel at the same location without any issue ever. And this happens at multiple locations with this one car only. So you have to conclude that it's a problem with this vehicle somehow.

It is not the vehicle, it is the pump.

Did you get this resolved? I had the same problem recently with my S90. I followed the recommendations from the guy in the video and haven't had trouble since.
