Default 1998 GDI Heated seat question

I have just bought a 1998 GDI V40, and am interested in putting in heated seats, but wondered if the wiring loom for the seats is in place but below the carpet? and if the other half of the loom will be sat behind the blanks for the switches.
If this is the case what else would i have to do? a presume i will need a fuse in the fuse box and a relay to compensate for the extra electrical power needed for the element?
Also can i convert the seats i have to take the element, or is it a case of buying seats ready to go?
Thanks
Tony.

I believe the car is wired. You would have to install fuse and relay.I believe you will have to buy the elements and remove the leather seat covers and install the elements.

Would the fact that the seats were not leather covered matter?
Do you know if the heated seat relay is combined with another circut or is it its own relay just for the seats?
Cheers For your quick answer
Tony.

I am not 100% positive but I think the relay is just for the seat heaters.I think the seats come heated with cloth seats so that shouldn't matter. The best way to find out would be to call the dealer just to ask info on them.
