battery failure
Heyy guys i hope someone can help i replaced my battery about a week ago and i like to just listen to music in my car so after awhile when the 'low battery' warning came on the 'battery charge failure' came on aswell i saw a couple of posts saying they changed alternator and timing belt should i do the same? the thing is before i changed the battery the car was stopped for like 8-9 months after i changed it i drove it around for abit without no issues until the low battery warning and battery light came on..
Thanks in advance

Check the charge rate with a voltmeter anything less than 13.5v when engine is running is a problem with the charging system and most likely the alternator
Timing belt or cambelt is changed every 5 years or 100k max and has nothing to do with the charging system , perhaps you meant the auxiliary belt which runs Alternator ,AC etc
If you are driving the car and the charge light comes on its probably the alternator ., which can be reconditioned but here in RSA I had problems doing that and eventually replaced it with a new one , quite costly here in RSA
