Default Fuses

V40, 1999, 1.6v petrol. I need to replace fuse no. 5 in the engine compartment fuse box. (It controls Central Locking, Interior Lights and Radio). Fuses 5, 6 and 7 are enclosed in a yellow plastic frame which holds them in place, and I can't get either 5 or 6 out! No. 7 is blank.
Thank you. Cherrytom

Default Fuses --- problem sorted!

Volvo probably made a special tool for this job, but I found a quick and easy solution --- two small, flat-bladed, screwdrivers poked down either side of the yellow box frees it enough to pull it out. Change the fuse in the normal way, with the plastic tweezers supplied, and push the yellow box back in. It snaps tightly into place. If you've had to replace fuse No. 5, you'll need to reset the radio with its code. Sorted! = Cherrytom
