Default Help..!!

Hi.. New to this site and hoping someone may be able to help..?? Can anyone let me know if the oil pump on a 2000 'X' reg2.0 V40 could be affected by a cam belt change..?? The reason I ask is that I recently had a cam belt change at my local dealers and the next day suffered an oil pump failure which now looks like I will need a replacement engine due to low oil pressure..!! I had only bought it last thursday and driven it back home (over 300 miles..!) without any oil lights or any problems at all..!! It just seems weird to me that the oil pump would fail just after being at the main dealers..??? Any advice would be greatly appreciated..!!!

It would not be affected by the belt.
The oil pump is behind everything they were near.
