The roof molding was recently replaced by a dealer doing insurance work on my 2003 V40. The moldings now do not lay flat. I have been to a Volvo dealer and they didn't know how to properly install the molding.
I have contacted Volvo Corp. and they said I should take it to a dealer and knowing that I had already done that, he gave me the address of another dealer and said that was all he could do!
The black molding starts at the bottom of windshield (windscreen) and runs along roof all the way to tailgate.
I would appreciate directions on how to correctly install this molding.

Sorry about that, good luck, I haven't found anything about it, but will keep looking. Maybe if you contacted someone from that thread about taking it apart, someone that has taken it apart may have put a new one on. Also, message tech. I bet he's done one.
